Why do userprofiling with Steps Forms? Read the new article in our User Profiling Pills column and find out how to get data even from an anonymous user.
In the frenzy to increase the number of subscribers to our portal it happens, very often, to forget that even if a user is “anonymous” he can still provide us with a lot of information. Information that we can then go and reuse to improve his experience within our site and thus lead him to subscribe.
Focusing on sourcing information from customers is a particularly interesting activity for three reasons:
- allows us to enrich our records;
- Is an activity with extremely limited cost;
- results allow us to create better and better customizations to engage our users.
Steps Forms: what are they?
Steps Forms are a type of form where we go to ask a series of questions to the client not in a single window but in multiple steps.
The advantages of this type of form are essentially twofold:
- Creation of more eye-catching graphics;
- Increased usability by the customer.
But is the dropout rate increasing?
This is a legitimate question. But here Blendee steps in to help us: if in fact with classic “wizards” we record answers only at the end of all the steps, Blendee instead automatically records the answers given at each advance in the “wizard.” This has the enormous advantage of knowing the answers even of those who do not complete all the proposed steps.
How do I use the data collected?
The data we collect from the forms have a special value because the customers themselves provide it. This allows us to work on truly concrete data and not on assumptions. Once we have collected the data, we can go on to create different segments based on the responses provided by the customers. We can then go on to create extremely personalized experiences on each of these segments, both at the recommendation and email marketing level.
In Blendee, the results are shown clearly, and it will then be possible to view the responses by individual user (including anonymous) as well.
