The acronym AOVPU refers to theAverage Order Value per User.
It indicates the average monetary value of orders in a time frame relative to the individual user.
To calculate AOVPU – Average Order Value per User, the total revenue of a specific user in a specific time frame is divided by the number of orders placed in that time frame.
This metric plays an important role among the KPIs to be monitored related to one’s eCommerce performance in the same way as AOV and AOS.
As is the case for Average Order Value, for AOVPU there are numerous activities that can be implemented in order to increase it, focusing on marketing automation and web personalization.
The goal, in fact, also in this case, is to enhance the user’s browsing and purchasing experience in order to increase its value over time and increase brand loyalty.
