Let’s find out together.
Global Privacy Platform: what is it?
Before introducing the latest news about the Global Privacy Platform, let us devote a little background to the project.
The Global Privacy Platform (GPP) is part of a set of solutions developed by IAB Tech Lab as part of the Rearc project born with the aim of helping the industry overcome the various difficulties related to adapting to the many international regulations present regarding privacy and the processing of personal data.
Specifically, the Global Privacy Platform is a protocol designed to simplify the transmission of signals about privacy, consent, and consumer choice throughout the supply chain related to the delivery of advertising services. It thus enables the various players along this supply chain, from advertisers to publishers to technology providers, to adapt to the different regulations in the markets.
The Global Privacy Platform to date supports the consent variables of US Privacy, IAB Europe TCF and IAB Canada TCF.
For more details, please see the full specifications available on the IAB TechLab sites.
